Strengthen the institutional capacity of the Ministry of Social Development (MIDES) in Panama to implement and improve the Cohesion Social Program, which seeks to sustainably increase the income among the poor indigenous population in Panama.

The grant-funded activities expanded the institutional capacity of MIDES to implement economic inclusion programs. The grant supported the design and implementation of an impact evaluation, which will facilitate the adoption of future economic inclusion programming in Panama. Also, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the grant supported the implementation of contingency plans and a digital real-time monitoring system allowing the continuity of the intervention.
