2016 to January 2018 in
order to better understand
the conditions under which
rigorous evidence can be
effectively integrated into public
policies and non-governmental
organization (NGO) practices
in the field of international
development. This case study of a pilot and randomized controlled trial of an innovative poverty
alleviation program illustrates the challenges of balancing research and implementation priorities.
